15-29 September 2012: The garage also received a make-over last autumn. We replaced the old narrow two-doors with a sturdy one that’s very wide, complete with remote-control open and closing. Push a button; in you go. No more stepping out into dire weather, fiddling about for the garage door key while rain pours down your neck, and then dashing back to the car … getting the car seats wet and mucky. And thank goodness, no more weakened pulley wires stressed from being pushed and pulled up and over metal rollers. And no more worrying about clipping the wing mirrors on the edge of the door opening. Lots of room now. We are delighted with it. And our Andy-the-Builder did himself proud on this work.
