Home Improvements: Reclaiming Space

We are slowly reclaiming bits and piece and corners of our living room with furniture. We dust off the layers of plaster and wood, and try to fit things together like a big puzzle with beautiful coloured walls. I love the colour of the walls in the living room. It’s like a moca colour. Also a very long book case with glass doors goes along the left wall. We’ll move that into place when the kitchen is finished because at the moment it’s brimming full with dishes and books. One small bit of bad news: we can’t get the grandfather clock to run properly. Mr Misk is working on it.

Molly looks less than enthused by all this moving and shuffling about the place.

Looks very Scandinavian with those floorboards. Koselig/hyggelig

Molly is being treated quite royally during all this; she has twoooooo beds! The old Chinese book cabinet was moved into position this morning. Then we both ran for Nurofen. 😐

  7. How very exciting to finally start moving back slowly. I love the colour of your walls and floors. I have always wanted hard wood floors – maybe one day.
I do hope that Mr Misk can get your grandfather clock sorted.
Who is sneaking into the pic on the left?
    🙂 Mandy

Sorted! Not sure what sort of nonsense that clock was up to but it’s okay now! 😀

Cosy! How lovely to almost, sort of, have your place back. you might schedule a day for the two of you to relax and do nothing but enjoy the new stuff!

    1. Misky says:

Peder mounted a telly to the wall in the dining room today. It’s still hanging there, so I guess all will be okay. Andy and the boys didn’t show today. He’s feeling poorly with a cold. Tomorrow is another day. 🙂

  9. Oh, I SO hope you get the clock working! That’s a lovely space you have there, Misky! x

    1. Misky says:

The clock is working, and chiming as usual. 🙂

  10. Things are starting to look ship-shape, it must be lovely to sink into a chair in the evening and relax!
Hope you manage to get the cock working!

    1. Misky says:

The clock is working! I think it was construction dust (cement, plastic, sawdust, etc) that got into the gear. It seems happy now. Today we’re moving furniture again, and trying this rug and that rug and another rug. Oooh my back! 😀
