A Storm Blows Through

Branches creaked and snapped, and fell to the ground; wind whistled in the chimney; daylight was replaced with a gloomy dusk. And then it rained. And poured. And didn’t stop until the clouds emptied and daylight returned.

Is it Spring yet ….. ?

  1. Misk, we too had an almost super cell storm, twice yesterday. Thunder, lightning, rain and hail… sideways! Love your image, you captured it so well.

As long as I’m all safe and dry inside the house, I love weather that’s having a right strop. Great fun. 😀

  2. Ominous looking clouds, Misk. Stay dry!

Total change this morning, Celia! Bright and sunny and freezing cold.

Does not sound like a nice spring shower to me!! Though I kind of like it when the clouds get broody and dark! c

Me, too. I love weather, especially rambunctious weather. 😀

Thanks, Mandy. It’s easy when the subject being shot is fairly spectacular! 😀

Not long until Spring, just a few more days. It must be lovely to know you’re coming to the end of winter. Those clouds look very serious though.

I’m delighting in a large swathe of bright yellow daffodils now in bloom in my lawn. I planted them about 20-years ago when we first moved into this house. I wanted ‘naturalised’ bulbs in the grass. They’ve done themselves proud. 🙂

          Thanks, Claire! 😀

Rain is good right? 🙂 I thought they just declared drought in the South and East yesterday… http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-17102615

Also SE, including East and West Sussex as it says in that link you just gave. Rain is good. Really good. Do you know any rain dances? 🙂
